After adding the search functionality in version 2.6.0, the next logical step was giving you more control over your list. With this update, Food Expiration Dates takes another significant step forward in flexibility.
Version 2.7.0 introduces the ability to track item quantities, a long-awaited feature that makes the app more practical when dealing with multiple units of the same product.
📦 New: Item Quantities

You can now assign a quantity to each item you enter. This means if you have five bottles of juice or three packs of yogurt, you can track them all without needing to create multiple entries. The feature is accessible directly in the insert/edit screen and visible in the item list.
🎨 Interface Refinements
- The top app bar now includes the app icon, adding visual identity to your navigation.
- The insert screen has been made scrollable to better accommodate smaller screens and longer content.
- System UI insets (like navigation bars) are now handled gracefully thanks to updated layout handling.
These changes make the app feel more polished while still staying light and fast.
